hello-hello, you awful yankees.
Saw where your man Markijohn will be over Federal forces at Trevilian Station this year... on the Farm where I live! muwahahaha. I guess you can pretty well expect some b0oby traps.. or to be fiercely out-maneuvered at the least. My man will be riding with Col. Wilt.
good luck! {yer gonna need it.}
your ever subversive civilian nemesis, *formerly* of Meigs county..

Thank you for coming to Mountwood Park this past weekend (May 15-17). You all did great! I enjoyed talking to some of you at the horse camp after Sunday's battle. Thank you for the info you gave me and I commend you for a great website! Hope to see you guys again at another event!

Hello. I was just wondering if anyone knows who recently adopted One Of A Kind Cruiser - 3 y.o. gelding, (by Yankee Cruiser) from New Vocations. I took care of him, at the racetrack, from when he was a yearling until the time he was donated. Terri - Ohio

I was scouting around trying to find some of my dad's old friends from his days in the 6th (sometime in the 80's to about 91). The pictures in the videos look all too familiar. I know he's got some from back then somewhere. Looks like you're all doing a great job of keeping this going!

I had two direct relatives that served in the 6th OVC - John Wilson Lowry and Robert Lowry, both of Warren, Ohio. John was captured near Barbers Crossroads, Haymarket, Virinia, in the months following the battle at Gettysburg. He was imprisoned at Bell Island/Libby Prison in Richmond. He subsequently died during a prioner exchange in a field hospital near Fredericksburg, Virginia. Robert survived the war and returned home.

I am interested in this site my grand grand grandfather was in the sixth ohio calvary company H He was a 43 year old lawyer from Ironton, Ohio who enlisted as a private to replace his younger Brother so he could go home and care for the farm for their aging ,ailing father. His name was Fletcher Golden
He was wounded in his right shoulder at the battle of Hatcher's run Va on Feb 5 1865 and became the company sargeant after the previous one was killed in combat. He rose to the rank of 2nd lieutenant. He presented an engraved commemorative sword on behalf of his company to their company Captian shaddock. He went on to be a somewhat famous methodist preacher circuit rider after the war
at the end of the war.
